Hainesport Youth Soccer relies heavily on volunteers to coordinate and run the program.
Most of the coaches are parents of children in the program.  Although some of our
parent coaches used to be soccer stars themselves, many offer more "love for the game"
than "skill in the game".

To accommodate a wide variety of coaching skill, HYS utilizes professional trainers in a
train-the-trainer fashion. Each volunteer coach goes through a rigorous preseason
coaching class taught by a professional trainer. During the program, weekly feedback is
provided to program coaches and administration to insure all objectives are met.

In addition to coaching, there are many other responsibilities required to run the
program; all of which require volunteers.  Parents, family members, local business
members, and even the children themselves are all encouraged to donate time, resource,
or money to insure the ongoing quality of the program.

Note: All volunteers must submit a "Kids Safe" program form prior to each session
